Give 'Em Hell
03:30
|
|||
Yeah – com’on – bring it.
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Nothing else left to do - just Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give’ em Hell
Give ‘em Hell (Why doncha) Give ‘em Hell
Fightin’ on down the line – just Give ‘em Hell
Well, they call me Thunder ‘cause I’m strong and loud
EVEN IF YOU HATE ME, WELL, I’LL MAKE YOU PROUD
Get yourself a front row seat and don’t be shy (Don’t be shy)
I was a blue-born baby on a Sunday News
Wouldn’t take it back if I had to choose
Blowin’ up extra large – so just Give ‘em Hell
…just Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Nothing else left to do – just Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell (Why doncha) Give ‘em Hell
Fightin’ on down the line – just Give ‘em Hell
I’m driving Thorazine and drinkin’ Nida-Core
If you don’t vote the party let me show you the door
Only one way out of here – just Give ‘em Hell
I got a rundown Chevy on an equity loan
Mr. President – you can hand ME THE PHONE!
Ain’t nobody’s balls but mine – just Give ‘em Hell
We’d’ya - Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell (Com’on and) Give ‘em Hell
Nothing else left to do – just – a – Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell (Why doncha) Give ‘em Hell
Comin' on back again – just Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Give ‘em Hell Give ‘em Hell
Nothing else left to do – just – a – Give ‘em Hell
When all else fails
and you’re on the rails
and your biting your nails
and your saying your Hails –
JUST GIVE ‘EM HELL

I'm -a- Likin' This
03:16
|
|||
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
Don’t know what it is – Don’t know why it is – but
I’m – a – Liking This
True believers set to kill
Take the cause up to Capitol Hill
Live in fear – but – in God We Trust
Headed for the eventual bust
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
Don’t know what it is – Don’t know why it is – but
I’m – a – Liking This
Man on top - getting’ kinda tense
Even – tu – al – ly - it’ll all make sense
Trade in gold and collect in cash
Bury it all in big ol’ stash
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
I’m – a – Liking This
Don’t know what it is – Don’t know why it is – but
I’m – a – Liking This
Liquid lies and solid blame
Think I’m just gonna change my name
Head for the hills ‘fore they get too close
Whatever we got left – gonna make the most of it

Served
04:52
|
|||
I’ll give you my story ‘cause it’s all that I’ve got
Was peppered with shrapnel and left there to rot
I dragged myself out and was air-lifted back
When I finally came to I was tied to a rack
The nurse that was with me was spungin’ me down
I asked her for more but she just turned around
They hit me with morphine – 100 CCs
Without the restraints I’d be down on my knees
I did it for me and I did it for you
I'd do it again if you asked me to
You look at me now and I might appear bored
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord
I’ll give you my story one key at a time
Suspended in traction – got nothin’ but time
They’re callin’ this freedom but it’s closer to hell
Seems like the difference is harder to tell
I left the VA where they patched me all up
And got me a place with a bottomless cup
Six months on my back - until I got well
Reminds me of prison but it’s closer to Hell
I did it for me and I did it for you
I'd do it again if you asked me to
You look at me now – see what I can afford
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord
I’ve carved out a living if you call ‘ it that
Pumped up on pain pills and just gettin’ fat
I should’ve been dead any number of times
But here’s where I am – a FRICKIN’ MIRACLE!
Now you’ve heard my story so just you beware
Don’t think that the public is likely to care
For the woes of a soldier who’s fought his last fight
I wish I was wrong but I’m ‘fraid I am right
I buy by the carton and eat from a can
You can just stand there or lend me a hand
You see all of this – looks like I’ve really scored
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord
I made it through landmines - through napalm and shells
For months at a time I was just hearing bells
Help yourself to a drink: mine is already poured
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord
Served my conscience, served my county, served the Lord

Predator Drone
04:42
|
|||
Yeah
Predator drone
Well, I got me a popular science magazine
And was reading all about the latest popular machine
When I spotted an ad at the bottom of the page
For a do-it-yourself-kit popular rage: Predator Drone.
Do-it-yourself Predator Drone.
So I clipped out the coupon and mailed it in
And in a couple of weeks the doorbell rang
And a man was standing there: got a package for you.
So, I said, “Come on in.” And, he said, “OK.”
And waved to his buddies to give him a hand
And in came the boxes – a lot of boxes.
Then, he said, “Sign right here on the line”
And, I inspected the cargo and said, “It looks fine.”
And, was about to open the very first box – when all of a sudden
I heard a knock – someone was at the door.
So, I opened it up and much to my surprise,
A SWAT team burst in and said, “Hold everything right there.”
“You’re under arrest.”
“Trafficing in stolen munitions… …Weapons of Mass Destruction.”
“You got any WMDs, here?”
I said, “…look, you couldn’t find ‘em in Iraq, you ain't gonna find ‘em in my living room.”
He said, “They gotta be here, someplace…”
And, ‘ motioned to the team
And they began to tear the place apart
They ripped down the walls – all the insulation coming out
Turned over all the furniture and even drilled a hole in the refrigerator
(I kinda liked that refrigerator)
Well, they finally got down to the boxes on the floor
And, opening them up they said, “…now, here’s a real score.”
“You’re coming with us, if you get the gist –
‘Cause now you’re on the terrorist list!”
No fly zone. Can’t leave the country. Surrender your passport.
So, I started to tell ‘em about the classified ad,
And, how I got the Drone – the latest fad
But, they didn’t seem to care or take no mind
As they cuffed me up from behind
“You’re going Downtown. Don’t even THINK about it.”
So, they took me down to the Situation Room
And introduced me as the Man of Doom
Where for 48 hours they grilled me straight
And The Man in Charge determined my fate
I asked him for a drink of water
Seems like what they wanted to know
Was who was in it with me – or was I acting alone
Was there a whole group or just a few
And did they reside here – what were they planning to do?
So, I was just about to spill – I couldn’t lie
When I suddenly noticed from the corner of my eye
The very same popular science magazine
Sitting on the desk of the in front of me
So, I picked it up and turned to the page
And, pointed it out with controllable rage
That right there, on page 59, was the item in question
Well, at that moment, The Man in Charge
Taken aback and still living large
Said, he had bought the very same one
And was happy as hell with it
No problems.
Working effectively.
Good manufacturing.
So, he started to laugh and slapped my back
And told me a joke to “set me on track”
And, before too long we were arm-in-arm
Buddies. Laughin’. Talking about Korea.
Vietnam. Grenada.
Then he said to me, “You’re free to go.
Don’t worry about a thing – just so you know.
The next time that you order that thing
Be sure to just give us a ring – notify us of your intentions.
Long as we know ' your intentions.
I said, “No problem.”
Well, I left that place never lookin’ back
And went on home and started to pack
And set out in my SUV to parts unknown – just feelin’ free
With my Predator Drone.
Me, the SUV and the Predator Drone.
Out there somewhere, driving around…

Whiskey Bay
06:10
|
|||
Now, somewhere… down in the deepest part of Southern Louisiana - there’s a place where a gal lost her way – one day – on the highway. And, we’d like to dedicate this song – to her memory – and to the family that was lookin’ for closure – and, the brave men and women of law enforcement who helped them to get it.
They found her out on Whiskey Bay
Her throat was slashed and she was battered
White pickup truck just drove away
Tire tracks deep in the mud
Looking down on the shore
From the highway up above her
She was down there by the boat ramp
Past the closed-off exit sign
Ended up on
Whiskey Bay
On a dark and rainy day
Happened down on
Whiskey Bay
Take that body away
Strands of gold were in her hand
That she held in desperation
And a locket by her side
Was the one she always wore
They had closed the exit off
But sometimes people still went down there
And run off of the highway
She descended one last time
Ended up on
Whiskey Bay
On a dark and rainy day
Happened down on
Whiskey Bay
Take that body away
Now somewhere in the next life
She’s found an inner peace
And closure to the family
And some sort of release
They finally got the guy who fled
The golden strands were from an arm patch
That was issued to policemen
On a special uniform
She had thought he’d pulled her over
For a speeding violation
But it turned out he was looking
For a different kind of thing
She had fought off the attack
With all the strength that she could gather
But, in the end, he overcame her
And it was quiet once again
Ended up on
Whiskey Bay
On a dark and rainy day
Happened down on
Whiskey Bay
Take that body away
Ended up on
Whiskey Bay
On a dark and rainy day
Happened down on
Whiskey Bay
Take that body away

Life As We Know It
02:17
|
|||
So say goodbye to life as we know it
Take one last look at all of this stuff
The way that we’re headed – looks like we’ll blow it
Just when we thought enough is enough
Hasta luego to life as we know it
So long suckers – we’ve played our last card
Careening disaster with nothing to slow it
‘Think I’ll drop acid and stand in the yard
The Big One is coming – this we cannot deny
Rather just face it – than sit here and fry
I open my arms and welcome it in
Embracing it all – the blast and the din
So say goodbye to life as we know it
Head between legs and kiss ass goodbye
The way that we’re headed – looks like we’ll blow it
Watching that fireball burst in the sky
Hasta luego to life as we know it
So long suckers – we’ve played our last card
Careening disaster with nothing to slow it
‘Think I’ll drop acid and stand in the yard

String of Tin Cans
02:15
|
|||
So, now you’re all friendly – like nothing went wrong
And, stickin’ your nose where it don’t belong
Go back to your backers – go back to your fans
Your past rattles behind you like a string of tin cans
You say things are different – like everything’s changed
And failures forgotten or all rearranged
So, look to the future and making new plans
(But) Your past rattles behind you like a string of tin cans
Try to escape where you’ve already been
By covering up – attempting to win
No use in pretending – the die has been cast
The façade is fading and it’s fading fast
So – time to remember – remember so well
You’re being thrown out - after making life hell
And no one is listening to your futile demands
Your past rattles behind you like a string of tin cans

Civvies
03:16
|
|||
Go back home
Put on your civvies
Live your life
Just like it was
See the places
Once familiar
And, so, life begins again
Send a message
To your family
Tell them soon
You will return
To the comfort
Of their company
And, so, life begins again
Welcome home
Put on your civvies
On the dresser
Folded - clean
Gilded jackets
In the closet
And so life begins again
And so life begins again

Thunder Dollar Bill New York, New York
And, so, up from the rubble came Thunder “Dollar” Bill: battle-weary, time-tested. An unlikely character who would
probably rather, “...stay focused on the mission than get involved with all this.” But, still, with strong resolve, willing to do his part for conscience, country and the greater good.
Thunder “Dollar” Bill.
Not just a mission: it’s a way of life.
Live it.
